Terms of use

The binding text is the French page: Conditions d'utilisation.

1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of the site minedor.be and of the Minedor game hosted there. Playing means accepting them. They are short because the service is too: a free game, with no account and no transaction.

The site is published by a private individual living in Belgium, with no commercial activity; the identification details are in the legal notice.

2. A free game, provided "as is"

Minedor is made available free of charge, with no advertising, no in-app purchase and no sign-up. It is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind: neither of availability, nor of freedom from bugs, nor of compatibility with every browser and every device.

The publisher may change, suspend or shut down the game, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice — including resetting the record if the situation calls for it. A personal game given away for free comes with no promise of continuity.

The game requires a recent WebGL-capable browser with JavaScript enabled.

3. Your progress

Your game is stored in your browser's local storage, on your device. It can disappear if you clear your browsing data, if you change device or if you browse in private mode.

The pause menu offers an export code to copy and keep: that is your only backup, and it is up to you. The publisher holds no copy of your progress and therefore cannot restore it.

4. The world record and fair play

The site shows a single record: the best score ever submitted, with the nickname of whoever got it and its date. Submitting is voluntary — you are perfectly free to play and never submit anything.

Your nickname will be shown publicly on the home page and in the game, visible to every visitor. Pick one that does not identify you: not your real name, not your e-mail address, not your town. See the privacy policy.

The record relies on players' good faith. By using it, you undertake to submit a score genuinely obtained by playing, and not to attempt to bypass the protections of the game or of the server.

The publisher reserves the right to remove, without notice or justification, any score or nickname that:

A removal gives no right to any compensation — there is nothing to compensate, the game being free.

To report a problematic nickname, or to ask for yours to be removed: contact@minedor.be.

5. Audience

Minedor is an adventure game for all audiences, with no adult content, no purchases, no chat between players and no matchmaking. It features action and fantasy creatures in a blocky world.

No data is required in order to play. The only piece of information a player can publish is a freely chosen nickname: it does not have to contain anything that identifies you.

6. Use of the site

You undertake not to interfere with the operation of the site: no mass automated submissions, no intrusion attempts, no systematic content extraction, no re-use of the game or of its parts without permission.

The rights over the game, its code, its images, its music and its name are set out in the legal notice.

7. Liability

The publisher cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from use of the site, from its unavailability, from the loss of locally stored progress, or from the removal of a score. These limits apply to the extent permitted by Belgian law, and cover neither wilful misconduct nor gross negligence.

8. Changes and governing law

These terms may be updated; the date at the top of the page indicates the latest version. Continuing to play after an update counts as acceptance.

They are governed by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable settlement, the Belgian courts have sole jurisdiction.

These pages are the site's legal information. They are not legal advice.
